La console modèle Altesse semble avoir été dessinée par E.Brandt au début des années 1920, elle sera commercialisée dès 1924 Boulevard Murat à Paris, et un peu plus tard par La Galerie Edgar Brandt à New York. Les amateurs pouvaient commander ce modèle en deux tailles différentes : la grande à quatre montants et la petite que nous présentons ici.
On retrouve dans cette console, le vocabulaire typique d'Edgar Brandt avec l'emploi du métal, l'importance du décor végétal, la présence de la matière, les patines nuancées et la puissance aérienne de l'œuvre.

The console modele  Altesse  seems to have been designed by E.Brandt at the beginning of the 1920's and was first commercialised, from 1924, Boulevard Murat in Paris, and later on by  La Galerie Edgar Brandt  in New York. This model could be ordered in two different sizes : the large one with four uprights and the small one presented here.
The typical language of Edgar Brandt can be translated by the work of this console, the use of metal, the importance of plant forms, the presence of matter, the shaded patina's and the ethereal strenght of his work.
