Textholzschnitt mit dem Heiligen Hieronymus an seinem Pult. Basel, Joh. Froben, 27. October, 1495. 507 (von 508 Bll.; ohne das weiße Bl. 469). Lederband des 18. Jahrh. mit reicher Rückenverg., RSchd. und Wappensupralibros von Guyot de Villeneuve auf beiden Deckeln. (etwas berieben u. beschabt).
2. Ausgabe der Froben-Bibel in Oktav. - GW 4275 - BMC III, 791 (incompl. Expl.) - Goff B-598 - Durchgehend rubriziert in Rot. Der Holzschnitt vom Meister des Verardus nach Dürer teilkoloriert in Rot. - Teils etwas gebräunt bzw. leicht fleckig, Titelbl. fleckig und mit Hinterlegungen, 2 Bll. mit sehr kleinem Papierausriss, Vorsätze mit alten Annotationen.

With 1 (almost full-page) text woodcut. Leather vol. of the 18 century with rich gilt to spine, lable on spine and armorial bearing by Guyot de Villeneuve on sides. (slightly rubbed and chafed). The second edition of Froben bible. Throughout rubricated in red. Woodcut by Meister des Verardus after Dürer partly coloured in red. - Partly slightly browned and lightly stained, title page stained and backed, 2 leaves with tiny tear-off, old annotations on flyleaves.
