ALEXANDROVNA OLGA: (1882-1960) Grand Duchess of Russia, sister of Tsar Nicholas II. A good signed 4 x 4.5 photograph by the Grand Duchess, the image depicting Olga Alexandrovna seated, in a three quarter length pose. Signed `Olga´, in fountain pen ink to the upper left corner of the image. Matted in white, glazed and framed in gilt wood to an overall of 6 x 6.5. Very small overall age wear and staining. Together with a Russian pokerwork box, 14 x 5 x 2.5, early 20th century, decorated with a monastery in the snow, containing a small collection of Yugoslavian and Swedish banknotes from the first-half of 20th century. VG £500-800 Provenance being possibly from Vladimir de Kosikowsky (d.1917), married to Geraldine Somerset (d.1938). Kosikowsky was Chamberlain at the court of the last Tsar.
