A Venditti-Lancusi breech-loading pistol - dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century - provenance: Torre Annunziata, Faceted barrel, with tubular magazine, marked 'VENDITTI & C.I LANCUSI' among floral motifs; brass frame with iron side plates, decorated with floral engravings; trigger guard with lever, ring-shaped magazine; grip with checkered, wooden grips, butt-plate with suspension ring. After being released from hard labour due to a conviction for murder, he starts his first business in Torre Annunziata (Naples, Italy); after several patents, he manufactured his well-known repeating pistol with ten and even twenty six shots.
