The orientalist dromedary subject is one of Barye's last models, a late creation and edition by Barye, and is quite rare in a period print. It is listed by Barye in his last catalogue 'catalog des Bronze de A. L Barye, Exposition Universelle de Paris 1865, under "nouveaux modèles", number 228, p. 8.
