Délivré neuf le 14 juillet 1955 par l'importateur Hoffman à New York, ainsi que le confirme l'attestation Jaguar au dossier, cette automobile était alors de livrée rouge, combinée à un intérieur noir. Le mari de l'actuelle propriétaire en a fait l'acquisition en 2010, alors qu'elle était décrite comme entièrement restaurée en 2001. Collectionneur exigeant, ce dernier avait depuis fait réaliser de nombreux travaux visant à perfectionner l'ensemble. Ainsi, le faisceau électrique a été remplacé, le compteur converti en km/h, le système de freinage refait, une boite Gtrag à 5 rapports installée et une révision poussée effectuée par Classic Garage à Munich en 2012 ainsi qu'en témoigne un dossier de factures. D'une très élégante teinte gris métallisé, combinée à une sellerie noire et moquettes assorties, ce cabriolet offre un très bel état de présentation et de fonctionnement. La capote est en excellent état, et l'auto s'avère bien chaussée en pneus Michelin X peu usés. Il s'agit en conséquence d'un exemplaire soigneusement remis en état, prêt à satisfaire son prochain propriétaire. The car was delivered new to New York on 14 July 1955 by the importer Hoffman, in red with black interior, as confirmed by the Jaguar certificate in the file. The husband of the current owner acquired the car in 2010, which was described as having been completely restored in 2001. A collector with very high standards, he subsequently had extensive work carried out to make it perfect. The wiring loom was replaced, the odometer converted to kilometres, the brakes overhauled and a 5-speed Gtrag gearbox was fitted. The car was given an extensive service by the Classic Garage in Munich in 2012, and the work carried out is recorded in a file of invoices. Presented in an elegant shade of metallic grey, with black upholstery and matching carpets, this cabriolet is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition.
