À partir de 1956, toutes les voitures furent équipées du V8 dont la puissance n'aura de cesse d'augmenter sur un châssis inchangé, tandis que la carrosserie était intensivement remaniée. Parmi les équipements de série, on notait notamment un échappement double, un volant de style compétition à trois branches, un rétroviseur extérieur et une montre électrique. Cet exemplaire a été livré en juin 1957 et arbore une belle livrée " Cascade green " avec flancs blancs et intérieur en vinyle beige. Il est équipé du puissant V8 283ci développant 270 chevaux, accouplé à la boîte manuelle à quatre rapports, en option à l'époque. Cette belle Corvette a été achetée en 2013 par son actuel propriétaire, alors qu'elle avait bénéficié d'une reconstruction complète en Allemagne. L'état de présentation actuel de la voiture témoigne de la qualité du travail effectué. Plus récemment, l'embrayage a été remplacé et des freins à disque montés à l'avant afin d'arrêter plus efficacement le fougueux V8. Les pneus Goodrich à flanc blanc sont neufs, et montés sur des jantes neuves, tandis que les 4 jantes d'origine seront fournies avec la voiture. Ce millésime allie le design de versions " simple phares " aux performances du V8 qui ont fait la renommée du modèle. From 1956, all cars were equipped with the V8, whose power will never cease to increase, on an unaltered chassis, whereas the bodywork was drastically redesigned. The serial equipment was notably characterized by a dual exhaust, a competition-style three-branch steering wheel, an external rear-view mirror and an electronic dashboard clock. Our model was delivered new in June 1957 and presents a beautiful " Cascade green " livery with white sides and a vinyl beige interior. It is equipped with the powerful V8 283ci , producing 270hp, mated with an optional 4-speed manual gearbox. This beautiful Corvette was acquired in 2013 by its current owner, after benefitting from a reconstruction in Germany. The current state of the car is a clear demonstration of the quality of the work that has been carried out. In recent years, the clutch was replaced and disc brakes were fitted at the front in order to halt more effectively the fiery V8. The whitewall Goodrich tires are new, assembled on new rims. The 4 original rims will be also be supplied with the car. This vintage combines the design of the "single light" versions with the performances of the V8 which have contributed to the fame of the model.
