Elle est donc, selon la formule consacrée, matching numbers. Son précédent propriétaire, Giovanni de Paoli, l'a faite restaurer au début des années 2000 par deux anciens mécaniciens Alfa Romeo. Certaine pièces (Durites, rotule train avant, mâchoires de freins, cylindres de roues arrière) ont été remplacées chez Giglio Racing, à Toulon. La voiture était alors immatriculée à Genève, GE-1762651. Alors que M. de Paoli l'avait confiée à l'atelier Tissier, près de Nemours, pour une mise au point moteur, celui qui allait devenir son prochain propriétaire est tombé en arrêt devant la voiture, séduit par son état. Aujourd'hui, la qualité de la restauration est encore perceptible et la voiture se présente de façon impeccable. Elle est équipée de l'élégant tableau de bord en tôle peinte recevant trois gros compteurs ronds disposés en demi-cercle, ainsi que de sièges et contreportes habillés avec tous le raffinement italien. Et surtout elle bénéficie de son moteur d'origine 1300 à deux carburateurs Weber, dont les 90 ch permettent à cette sportive séduisante et légère d'atteindre 180 km/h. Il est rare de trouver une Giulietta Sprint Veloce aussi originale et soignée. Les amateurs d'Alfa Romeo ne peuvent pas s'y tromper. The previous owner, Giovanni de Paoli, had the car restored at the start of the 2000s by two former Alfa Romeo mechanics. Certain parts (hoses, front axle ball joints, brake shoes, rear wheel cylinders) were replaced by Giglio racing in Toulon. It was then registered in Geneva, GE-1762651. Mr de Paoli sent the car to the Tissier workshop, near Nemours, to have the engine tuned, and while it was there, the man who would become next owner spotted the car and was bowled over by the condition it was in. The high quality of that restoration is still evident today and the car is offered in superb condition. It is fitted with a charming painted metal dashboard, boasting three round dials in a semicircle, and seats and door linings upholstered with plenty of Italian style. Above all, the car has its original Weber twin-carburettor 1300cc engine, whose 90 bhp produces enough power to propel this stunning, light sportscar to 180 km/h. It is rare to find a Giulietta Sprint Veloce as original and well presented as this one. Alfa Romeo enthusiasts cannot go wrong.
