The current owner bought the car in 2012 from the wife of the previous owner, who had kept it following the death of her husband. The car was then brought back to England and was given to Jaguar specialists for mechanical restoration. Notable elements from the list of works carried out includes a re-build of the original engine (matching numbers) with cylinder head modified for unleaded fuel, a new clutch, new radiator, refurbished starter and dynamo.
