Le carrossier réalise et assemble tous les éléments de carrosserie et habille l'habitacle. Les caisses, ornées d'un discret logo du carrossier italien, retournent à Sochaux pour y recevoir leurs mécaniques. Dès le salon de Genève 1962, il recevra le 1,6 litre à injection Kügelfischer révélé au même salon un an plus tôt et qui offre 13 ch supplémentaires (160 km/h). La voiture que nous vous présentons a bénéficié d’une restauration exhaustive avec près de 40 000 euros de factures. Sans doute une des restaurations les plus onéreuses pour une 404 Coupé. Suite à l’achat du véhicule, le propriétaire a découvert de multiples points de rouille. La voiture a donc été entièrement décapée, puis reprise en carrosserie, ce qui en fait maintenant une voiture parfaitement saine et exempte de rouille. Le beau bleu électrique qu’elle porte lui va à ravir et s’accorde à merveille avec son intérieur de cuir noir. Ce coupé 404 est prêt à prendre la route.
