Cette restauration hors du commun est due au précédent propriétaire, un M. Julien, des transports Depann 2000, qui aurait lui-même acheté la voiture à son premier propriétaire. Au démontage, l'examen de la caisse a révélé que la voiture n'avait jamais été accidentée, un témoignage de son premier propriétaire confirmant qu'elle n'avait jamais couru. Elle est aujourd'hui dans un état que l'on peut qualifier de concours, le souci du détail allant jusqu'aux autocollants placés sur la boîte à air ou sous le capot moteur. L'intérieur en drap gris est comme neuf, la peinture est superbe et la voiture repose sur ses jantes d'origine chaussées de Michelin X 135/15 en excellent état. Un dossier de photos de la restauration accompagne la voiture. Lors de notre examen, le compteur affichait 7 734 km, ce qui correspond à la distance parcourue depuis la restauration. Le rodage est donc à peine achevé ! C'est en 2010 que l'actuel propriétaire a fait l'acquisition de cette merveille, probablement la plus originale et la plus belle R8 Gordini 1300 proposée actuellement sur le marché.
