1969 Marcos 3000 GT No reserve Titre de circulation autrichien Châssis n°3V5695 - Historique limpide - Moteur Volvo B30 préparé - 28 100 km d'origine - Sans prix de réserve Présentée au London show de 1968, la Marcos 3000 GT était une puissante et élégante GT à carrosserie en fibre de verre, équipée d'un moteur Ford V6. Sa ligne très basse et la position de conduite, presque couchée, traduisaient sa vocation sportive. Ce n'est que l'année suivante qu'apparut la version dotée du moteur Volvo 6 cylindres 3L type B30, accouplé à une boite manuelle à 4 rapports et overdrive. La production de cette automobile demeura confidentielle, et rarissimes sont les exemplaires vendus neufs en Europe, à l'image de celui que nous présentons. Ce dernier fait en effet partie des trois qui furent vendus par l'importateur Morgan de Vienne, en Autriche. Acheté neuf par son actuel propriétaire, il a ensuite changé de mains pour revenir dans la famille en 1976, si bien que le kilométrage de 28 100 km au compteur nous est confirmé comme étant d'origine. En superbe état de présentation, elle a troqué sa livrée verte pour une combinaison gris/bleu marine à laquelle est assortie la sellerie cuir. Le moteur Volvo a fait l'objet d'une préparation soignée et développerait 220cv avec ses trois Weber double corps. Elle est, en outre, dotée d'un agréable toit ouvrant et de jantes Minilite en magnesium. Si les exemplaires de Marcos 3000 GT sont peu courants sur nos routes, celui-ci est d'autant plus remarquable que son historique est limpide et son état de présentation superbe. Austrian title Chassis n°3V5695 - Clear history - Prepared Volvo B30 engine - No reserve Introduced at the London Motor Show in 1968, the Marcos 3000 GT was a powerful and elegant GT car with fiberglass bodywork and a Ford V6 engine. This car has very-low design lines and an almost-lying driving position which authenticate its sporting purpose. It was not until the following year that the version fitted with a 6-cylinder 3L type B30 Volvo engine came out, mated to a 4-speed manual and overdrive gearbox. The manufacturing of this automobile remained confidential and examples sold new in Europe are extremely rare, just like the one we are offering. The latter is one of three sold by the Morgan Importer in Vienna, Austria. Bought new by the current owner, sold and then, back in the family in 1976, this car has a mileage of 28,100 km which is confirmed as genuine. Presented here in excellent condition, the green livery was changed into a combined grey/navy blue colour and complemented with matching leather interior. The Volvo engine has carefully been prepared and is able to produce 220 hp with three twin Weber carburetors. The car also comes with a pleasant sunroof and Magnesium Minilite alloys.
