1970 Lamborghini Espada série 2 Carte grise française Châssis n° 8376 Moteur n° 40552 - Présentation très soignée et entretien suivi - Dans les mêmes mains depuis 1990 !! - Dessin magistral et futuriste Lors de sa présentation au Salon de Genève 1968, la Lamborghini Espada a fait sensation. Dérivée de la spectaculaire Marzal dévoilée l'année précédente, c'est une GT quatre places dont le dessin est signé Marcello Gandini et le moteur Giotto Bizzarrini. Avec de tels noms penchés sur son berceau, l'Espada est une voiture bien née. Immatriculé pour la première fois en 1970, notre exemplaire à boite de vitesse mécanique est d'origine américaine. Il se trouvait dans l'état du Michigan avant que son actuel propriétaire en fasse l'acquisition dans une vente aux enchères, à Versailles en 1990. Un courrier de l'ancien propriétaire américain retrace d'ailleurs l'histoire de la voiture de 1970 à 1990 et cette voiture n'aurait connu que quatre propriétaires à ce jour selon les informations qu'il a pu fournir. Ces éléments viennent aussi corroborer le kilométrage qui serait donc d'environ 42 000 miles d'origine et précision importante cette voiture est toujours équipée de son moteur d'origine. Son compteur de vitesse a été très habilement adapté en km/h pour un usage plus facile. Le conséquent dossier qui accompagne la voiture permet de constater qu'elle a toujours bénéficié de soins réguliers depuis 1990. Parmi les nombreux travaux réalisés, citons notamment le traitement des corps creux dans les années 90 qui a permis de protéger efficacement la voiture contre la corrosion, le remplacement de l'embrayage en 2010, l'installation d'une ligne d'échappement complète en inox des collecteurs jusqu'aux silencieux. Les amortisseurs avant viennent tout juste d'être remplacés et l'allumeur qui vient d'être entièrement reconditionné et passé au banc. La climatisation fonctionne et a été adaptée au nouveau gaz. Une peinture grise fut refaite en 2016 toujours dans la teinte d'origine. La sellerie d'origine régulièrement entretenue bénéficie d'une patine du plus bel effet, véritable invitation au voyage. Aujourd'hui encore dans un très bel état général, cette Espada à l'historique clair est une belle opportunité de cruiser à 4 dans une GT de grande classe grâce à son habitacle spacieux et son envoutant V12. French title Chassis n° 8376 Engine n° 40552 - Meticulous presentation and regularly maintained - In the same hands since 1990 !! - Masterful and futuristic design When it was launched at the Geneva Salon in 1968, the Lamborghini Espada created a real buzz. Derived from the spectacular Marzal that had been unveiled the previous year, the Espada was a four-seater designed by Marcello Gandino, fitted with a Giotto Bizzarrini engine. With such names involved, this was a truly noble machine. Registered for the first time in 1970, our example, with manual gearbox, was originally an American car. It spent time in Michigan before the current owner acquired the car in an auction in Versailles in 1990. A letter from the previous American owner recounts the history of the car between 1970 and 1990. From this information we know that the car has had just four owners in its lifetime. This is backed up by the mileage, which stands at just 42,000 miles from new, an important fact as the car still has its original engine. The odometer has been cleverly graduated in kilometres to make driving in Europe easier. There is a substantial file with the car with details of regular maintenance since 1990. Work carried out has included treatment of the box sections during the 1990s, to protect the car against corrosion, replacement of the clutch in 2010, and the fitting of a stainless steel exhaust from the manifold to the silencer. The front shock absorbers have recently been replaced, and the ignition has been completely reconditioned. The air conditioning works and has been adapted to new gas. The car was repainted its original shade of grey in 2016. The original upholstery has been well looked after and has a lovely patina, which offers a tempting invitation to step inside and take to the wheel. Still in excellent overall condition today, this Espada, with known history, offers a wonderful opportunity for four passengers to travel in a top class GT, with its roomy interior and bewitching V12 engine.
