Pierre Franchiset, l'homme qui a conçu le type H, dessine alors un break élégant, pratique et rapide pour l'époque. Au salon de Paris 1958 la voiture est présentée mais ne sortira qu'un an plus tard. Produite de 1959 à 1975, ce sera un succès mondial considérable. - La voiture que nous présentons est une ID 20F familiale, dotée de 7 places, elle possède 3 strapontins entre les banquettes. Immatriculée dans la Loire depuis 1983, elle entre dans la collection en 2003 et a parcouru environ 10 000 km depuis. - A l'origine Ivoire Borely, sa carrosserie a été repeinte dans une élégante teinte bleu ciel associée à un toit et un coffre beige, l'ensemble se présente en bel état général. L'habitacle a également été entièrement restauré, la sellerie et les moquettes bleues sont en bon état de conservation. - Sous le capot son moteur DY3 est associé à une boite manuelle à 4 vitesses, l'ensemble fonctionne bien et notre essai routier s'est avéré concluant. On notera qu'elle est équipée de la climatisation. It was the culmination of two years of research aimed at offering customers a multi-purpose vehicle that was both practical for tradesmen and comfortable for families, while retaining the elegance and technical features of the saloon. - This concept, which was very popular across the Atlantic, was represented in France only by the Simca Marly V8 estate. Pierre Franchiset, the man who had designed the Type H, came up with an elegant, practical and fast estate car for its time. The car was presented at the 1958 Paris Motor Show, but was not launched until a year later. Produced from 1959 to 1975, it was a huge worldwide success. - The car we are presenting is an ID 20F family car, with 7 seats and 3 folding seats between the benches. Registered in the Loire since 1983, it entered the collection in 2003 and has covered around 10,000 km since then. - Originally a Borely Ivory, the bodywork has been repainted in an elegant sky-blue hue combined with a beige roof and boot, and is in good overall condition. The interior has also been fully restored, and the upholstery and blue carpets are in good condition. - Under the bonnet, the DY3 engine is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The combination works well, and our road test proved conclusive. It also comes with air conditioning.
