Baptisée Espada et dessinée par Marcello Gandini, elle prenait place dans la gamme entre la 2+2 Islero et la déjà mythique Miura. C'était à l'époque la plus rapide automobile à quatre places au monde, avec 325 chevaux sous l'interminable capot avant. En novembre 1969, l'Espada Série II fut présentée, avec des modifications concernant notamment le tableau de bord, de nouveaux freins et une puissance amenée à 350 chevaux. Au Salon de Turin 1972, la Série III apporta à son tour nombre d'améliorations, dont une bien utile direction assistée en série et un tableau de bord plus conventionnel ainsi que de nouvelles jantes. Produite jusqu'à la fin de l'année 1978 à seulement 1224 exemplaires toutes versions confondues, l'Espada est une voiture exclusive, performante et racée. La voiture proposée est un exemplaire de l'ultime version de l'Espada, c'est-à-dire de la série 3, la plus aboutie. Sortie des usines de Bologne en mai 1975, cette Espada, initialement de couleur grise, était destinée au marché français comme en atteste le certificat d'origine Lamborghini. En 1993, elle fut la propriété d'un célèbre cycliste français qui la conserva pendant plus de 20 ans. Dans son historique, il est plaisant de constater que ce modèle fut régulièrement entretenu par des spécialistes reconnus tels que P3 Automobiles à Cannes et Provost Automobiles au Mans. Dans les frais récents, nous pouvons noter une réfection complète des freins et des pneus neufs. Le V12 agrémenté de ses six carburateurs Weber démarre au quart de tour, et les freins sont à la hauteur de sa puissance. Arborant aujourd'hui une robe bleue soutenue qui s'allie avec élégance avec son intérieur " Senape " (moutarde), cette S3 est dans un très bel état de présentation. This particular example is part of the ultimate version of the Espada, which is none other than the most accomplished one, the Series 3. Initially in grey colour, this Espada left the factory in Bologna in May 1975 and was intended for the French market, as evidenced by the Lamborghini certificate of origin. It was acquired by a famous French cyclist in 1993, who kept it for more than 20 years. It was lovely to witness that this model was regularly serviced by renowned specialists such as P3 Automobiles in Cannes and Provost Automobiles in Le Mans. As part of recent expenses, the brakes were completely repaired and new tyres were fitted. Complemented by its six Weber carburettors, the V12 engine starts instantly and the brakes are worthy of its power. This S3 is in very good condition, presented in deep blue colour combined with a "Senape" (mustard) interior. This car has marked its era and is a genuine opportunity to access the Lamborghini myth.
