Avec une plateforme galvanisée, des plastiques de carrosserie neufs et mieux traités et une mécanique refaite à neuf, ces Méhari peuvent prendre le chemin de la plage sans arrière-pensée. L'exemplaire présenté est l'une d'elles: elle dispose d'une carte grise 2 places attribuée en 1978 et a été intégralement reconstruite avant d'être offerte en 2017 à notre pilote, à l'occasion de son anniversaire. Véritable adepte du concept, Jean de Alexandris nous a néanmoins confié qu'elle n'était pas assez sportive à son goût (!), ce qui explique qu'elle n'a parcouru que 205 km. Aux couleurs de la Méhari "Azur", elle est en parfait état de présentation et de fonctionnement, et elle permettra à son futur propriétaire de ne pas avoir à attendre les délais de fabrication d'un nouvel exemplaire, tout en bénéficiant d'un état proche du neuf auquel s'ajoute l'intérêt d'une provenance illustre dans le monde du rallye. With a galvanized platform, new and better treated body plastics and refurbished mechanics, these Meharis can take the path to the beach without a second thought. The car on offer is one of them: it has a 2-seater registration card from 1978 and was completely rebuilt before being offered to the current owner in 2017, on the occasion of his birthday. A true follower of the concept, Jean de Alexandris nevertheless told us that it was not sporty enough for his taste (!), which explains why it only covered 205 km. In the colours of the Mehari "Azur", it is in perfect presentation and working order, and will allow its future owner not to have to wait for the production time of a new car, while benefiting from a condition close to new and the interest of an illustrious provenance in the world of rallying.
