D'origine américaine, notre Jalpa est dans une belle configuration rouge avec capot moteur et déflecteurs arrière noirs, associés à un intérieur en cuir blanc. Comme le confia son ancien propriétaire américain à l'actuel possesseur, il la conserva pendant de nombreuses années et la voiture bénéficia de soins réguliers. Elle était d'ailleurs de couleur blanche à l'origine. Restaurée il y a une dizaine d'années aux Etats-Unis la, la voiture est en bel état général et sans être parfaite sa présentation extérieure est satisfaisante et les soubassements sont sains. La sellerie de cuir blanc typique de cette génération est du plus bel effet et rend l'habitacle très clair y compris lorsque le toit est positionné. Côté mécanique comme nous avons pu le constater dans la circulation parisienne, la voiture fonctionne correctement et ne chauffe pas. Elle possède de plus sa trousse à outils ainsi que son cric. Modèle moins connu de par sa rareté, la production ayant à peine dépassé les 400 exemplaires, la Jalpa est intéressante par sa carrosserie avec toit amovible, ainsi que par les performances brillantes permises par son V8 de 3,5L et 255 cv en position centrale arrière.
