Celle-ci reprend la plateforme et la mécanique de la 2cv, tandis que l'ingénieuse carrosserie est en fibre de verre, l'ensemble étant reconnu comme bien fini et de qualité. Seuls 1100 exemplaires seront commercialisés dans cette version. L'exemplaire présenté a été immatriculé le 8 novembre 1989 et est resté entre les mains de son 1er propriétaire jusqu'en 1999, puis est passé aux mains de son fils jusqu'en 2014, année de son achat par l'actuel possesseur. La voiture affichait alors 16 600 km d'origine et le relevé des kilométrages depuis 1995 atteste d'une évolution régulière jusqu'aux 31 818 km d'origine relevés lors de notre examen. Très bien conservée, elle a été anciennement repeinte dans sa teinte d'origine et bénéficie du système de bâche arrière ainsi que de la cloison d'habitacle rigide optionnels. L'habitacle est d'origine, parfaitement conservé et la mécanique fonctionne de manière satisfaisante. Prête pour l'été, cette voiture originale, peu courante et bien construite constitue une pièce de collection que les amateurs de Citroën ne peuvent ignorer. Son historique limpide et son faible kilométrage achèveront de convaincre les plus sceptiques ! French title Chassis No. VG39JAZKAL0001282 Engine No. 0909523050 - Just 1100 units made - Less than 32,000 km since new - Optional tarpaulin and cabin separation system - No reserve When Citroën stopped production of the Méhari in 1987, the Auvergne-based manufacturer Teilhol, known for having produced the Renault Rodeo, decided to offer a new car inspired by this playful spirit: the Tangara. Based on the platform and the mechanicals of the 2CV, whilst the ingenious bodywork was in fiberglass, the whole was acknowledged as well finished and of high quality. Only 1100 units were made. The example on offer was registered on 8 November 1989 and remained in the hands of its first owner until 1999, then passed into the hands of his son until 2014, the year of the purchase by the current owner. The car then displayed 16,600 km from new and the mileage statement since 1995 attests to a regular evolution up to the original 31,818 km noted during our test drive. Very well preserved, it was previously repainted in its original color and benefits from the optional rear tarpaulin system as well as the rigid cabin partition. The passenger compartment is original, perfectly preserved and the mechanicals work satisfactorily. Ready for this summer, this quirky, uncommon and well-built car is a collector's item that Citroën enthusiasts cannot ignore. It's well documented history and low mileage should convince the most skeptical!
