1992 Ferrari 512 TR Carte grise française Châssis n° ZFFLA40B000094514 - Livrée neuve en France - Seulement 3 propriétaires - Provenance Collection Grigio Ferro La Testarossa était une berlinette puissante et rapide avec un niveau de performance et de tenue de route très élevés. Pourtant, la 512 TR qui lui succède est une meilleure voiture : on peut évaluer l'amélioration de ses performances générales à 10%. Il faut saluer les techniciens de Ferrari qui réussirent à obtenir 421 ch du 12 cylindres sans en augmenter la cylindrée et en réduisant sérieusement la nocivité des gaz d'échappement, ceci grâce à un contrôle très précis par ordinateur de l'injection d'essence et de l'allumage. La tenue de route fut améliorée sur la 512 TR, non seulement en changeant les caractéristiques de suspension, mais en rigidifiant le châssis tubulaire, en obtenant un centre de gravité plus bas pour la voiture par l'utilisation de pneumatiques plus évolués et, enfin, par une révision des paramètres aérodynamiques. Le freinage fut aussi grandement amélioré par l'utilisation de disques plus larges à l'avant, de nouveaux maître-cylindres, pistons, conduits de refroidissement, etc. tout ceci se traduisant par une distance d'arrêt réduite également par le gain de 40 kg sur le poids de la nouvelle voiture. Les qualités de rigidité du châssis tubulaire furent améliorées, les attaches de suspension furent modifiées ainsi que le montage de la direction. La boîte de vitesses, ainsi que le moteur, furent placés plus bas dans la partie arrière du châssis, améliorant la position du centre de gravité. Esthétiquement, la 512 TR ne se distingue pas outrageusement de la Testarossa, mais de subtiles retouches rendent son aspect plus doux, moins anguleux. L'exemplaire présenté fut vendu neuf par Charles Pozzi SA à Lyon à un certain Yves Dupont-Ferrier de Grenoble le 21 septembre 1992. Elle passe ensuite entre les mains de Michel Soulacroup en région parisienne avant d'être acquise par l'actuel propriétaire. Alors rouge, ce dernier confiera cette belle 512 TR aux Etablissements Lecoq pour un changement de teinte extérieure en Grigio Ferro, sa couleur préférée pour toutes les automobiles de sa collection. Elle a parcouru 41 500 km depuis sa sortie d'usine et a reçu toutes les révisions régulières préconisées par le constructeur. La grosse révision avec changement des courroies sera d'ailleurs réalisée en janvier 2019, juste avant la vente. Elle est accompagnée de son carnet d'entretien. Cet exemplaire se trouve donc dans un état optimal. Sa teinte gris foncé avec intérieur en cuir fauve apporte une élégance et un chic époustouflant à cette 512 Testarossa, pour laquelle les passionnés ne pourront que tomber amoureux ! French title Chassis No ZFFLA40B000094514 - Delivered new in France - Only 3 owners - From Collection Grigio Ferro The Testarossa was a fast and powerful berlinetta, possessing very high-level performance and road handling abilities, however, the 512 TR which succeeded it was a better car: we can evaluate its general performance increase by 10%. Ferrari's technicians are to be praised, as they managed to get 421 hp out of the 12 cylinders without increasing the engine capacity and by seriously reducing the toxicity of the exhaust gas emission, thanks to a very precise fuel injection and ignition control via computer. Road handling was improved on the 512TR, not only by replacing the suspension specifications but also by reinforcing the tubular chassis, also through the use of more advanced tyres allowing to achieve a lower centre of gravity and finally, by revising aerodynamic parameters. The braking system was also greatly enhanced by the use of wider front discs, new master cylinders, pistons, cooling ducts, etc… all of this translated into shorter braking distance and equally, by the 40kg weight gain on the new car. The tubular chassis' toughness qualities were improved, the suspension brackets and the steering mount were modified. The gearbox as well as the engine were placed lower at the rear-end of the chassis, consequently improving the centre of gravity position. Aesthetically, the 512 TR does not have major distinctive differences compared to the Testarossa however, some refine touches make it look softer and yet, less angular. This particular example was sold new by Charles Pozzi SA in Lyon to a certain Yves Dupont-Ferrier from Grenoble on 21 September 1992. It would then be handed over to Michel Soulacroup living in Paris, before getting acquired by the actual owner. The latter would then entrust this beautiful 512 TR (in red colour until that time) to the Lecoq workshop, in order to repaint the bodywork into Grigio Ferro, the favorite colour of the cars in his collection. The car covered 41,500 km since coming out of the factory and has been serviced regularly, as per the manufacturer's recommendations. A major service including belt change is to be done in January 2019, just before the auction. The car comes with its service logbook. This example is therefore in an ideal condition. The dark grey colour with tan leather interior brings an elegance and a breathtaking sophistication to this 512 Testarossa, which will undoubtedly make enthusiasts fall in love.
