A Meissen figure of a Japanese man, circa 1750
Modelled by P. Reinicke and J.J. Kaendler, standing holding a walking stick behind his back and a purple hat in his right hand, wearing a tunic decorated with flower sprigs, a purple-striped sash, puce skirt and yellow shoes, the base modelled with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves and flowers, 15cm high (minor damage)
Another example of this rare figure was sold by Bonhams London, 17 June 2015, lot 88.
