92. A Berlin armorial soup plate from the Podewils Service, circa 1765 Painted with scattered indianische Blumen and the arms of Podewils with black Eagle supports with crowned FR monograms, the rim with gilt moulded shells and line borders, 24cm across, sceptre mark in underglaze-blue, impressed "23" Made as an addition to the Meissen armorial service for Heinrich von Podewils (1695-1760) of around 1745. Another Berlin soup plate from this service was sold at Bonhams London, 3 December 2008, lot 295.
