A beautiful cuirassier officer's helmet dating: early 20th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, White metal skull, gilded-brass mounts; crest decorated with a lion's head, black horsehair, embossed stars along the sides and olive with monogram 'VE'. Star-shaped ornament with silver Savoy cross on gilded rays. Armoured chin-straps (partially abraded gilding). Leather band inside. With its wooden box lined with blue cloth and with a stamp of a seller from Rome. height 36 cm.
