A Chinese porcelain blue and white ming-style cylindrical jar painted in the ming-style with simulated "heaping and piling", the main register on the mid-body decorated with five lotus blooms, each flower encircled by its stem and set within a star-pattern formed by ten rhomboid petals, all against a complex geometric-pattern ground and bordered by breaking waves, between bands of scrolling lotus, the waisted neck with further crested waves, supported on a low foot ring designed with half-flowerheads qian-long period. 18th Century.
