A cuirassier's complete composite armour dating: second quarter of the 17th Century provenance: Europe, Consisting of a close helmet, with a one-piece skull with low, smooth comb, raised brim, basket ventail with narrow slits for ventilation and eye-slots, bevor; neckguard and nape-guard consisting of two plates; decorated with double outlines on all the parts. Two-plate gorget with additional plates for the neckline, fixed by rivets, with roped border. Heavy breastplate and backplate, the former ribbed, the latter with fixed small-plates, both with roped borders. A pair of brassards complete with six-plate pauldrons, roped and twisted borders, decorated with double outlines in several parts. Backpiece with ten-plate tassets fixed by rivets. Full-leg defense complete with shoes, ribbed at the center, worked en suite with double outlines, areas damaged by rust. Small missing parts and damage, some restored plates. Gauntlets without fingers. The mannequin is not included. An iron mannequin is available. height as shown circa 175 cm.
