A general's helmet from King Umberto period dating: late 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Metal skull covered with black fur (small missing parts); marked silver mounts, gilded crest (a small broken part easy to restore), gilded star featuring the crowned monogram 'U', scaled chin-strap, brown Moroccan leather inside and remains of a silk cap. Complete with the very rare aigrette and heron feather. Very rare. height total 67 cm.
