A Nuinobe do (samurai armour) - dating: Period (1603-1867) - provenance: Japan, Of good quality, consisting of suji kabuto iron with 30 brown-lacquered sectors with a series of nails, tehen kanamono with sectors, five-plated shikoro with special blue silk lacing, mabezashi lacquered with frieze decorated with burin engravings and small mon, original brass maedate shaped as a trident; beautiful iron ressei menpo complete with mustache, four-plated yodarekake of which the last one is gold-lacquered; nuinobe do with small mon at the neckline, sode with golden plates, kote with iron mail with gilded mon on the hand protections; brown-lacquered haidate with gilded discs; pertinent suneate. Complete with original lacquered wooden case and iron mounts. A homogenous armour dated around 1750. height 135 cm.
