A rare Guan vase, Ming dynasty, Xuande period (1426-1435), 15th century. Painted in rich cobal-blue tones depicting a peacock couple on floral background, rocks and waves. Xuande period mark with six characters on the exterior. The glaze is slightly blue with minor defects, and some irregular paste “orange peel” features, perfectly consistent with this period. Height: 32,8cm It is rare to find vases with such decoration and mark in this period.
