A very rare pair of officer's wheel-lock pistols from the guard of King Christian II dating: late 16th Century provenance: Saxony Smooth, two-stage, 13 mm cal. barrels, octagonal at the first part, marked "HS", engraved with geometrical motifs and, after rings, round, decorated with frames at the base; wheel-locks with flat plate and snap pan cover, partially blued at the inside; wooden full stocks, decorated with bone plaques, finely engraved with dragons, flowers and bands, typical onion-shaped pommels; iron trigger guards with spring triggers; bone-tipped wooden ramrod.
