An interesting man at arms composite half armour dating: last quarter of the 16th Century provenance: Northern Italy, Burgonet crafted in one piece with a medium-height comb and a roped border, pointed visor with Nuremberg mark, restored cheek-pieces. Neck defence with back/front plate with five-plated pauldrons. Heavy ribbed breast-plate, riveted neck and gussets with a pronounced roped border, three loin-guards; back-plate restored at the middle with a culet blade. Fine seven-plated tassets, with recessed margin and roped border, the latter with embossed monogram 'VA.' Restored leather strings, small restoration and defects. Mounted on a beautiful display mannequin complete with clothing and boots. height as shown circa 185 cm.
