An outstanding and very scarce pair of flintlock holster pistols in Roka style dating: about 1820 provenance: Greece, Beautiful, smoothbore, 13.6 mm cal. barrels, first octagonal, then with a short segment faceted with triangles and a ring, and then round; all the visible part preserves almost 100% of its original bluing. Surface engraved with alternated big and small stars, then flames and with a big gold-inlaid sun. Tangs covered with silver plates, finely embossed with floral motifs in bass-relief. Elegant flintlocks, finely engraved with trophies and floral motifs, provided with anti-friction and sealing systems, finished spring and rowel. Fantastic, silver, full stocks, majestically engraved and chiseled with floral motifs and rocaille, partially nielloed. Long and narrow pommel with big button, decorated in the same way. Trigger-guards with a long rear tang. Engraved and gilded triggers. Barrel bracket and false ramrod decorated en suite. A pair of extremely elegant arms, probably never used due to the excellent state of conservation. The type of decoration is typical of Epirus. The variations in the decorations of the fore-end and the butt are very interesting, despite the fact that it is a single block of silver. length 58.2 - 59.2 cm.
