Attributed to Nicolas Berchem (Haarlem, c. 1621/1622 - Amsterdam, 1683) "Shepherdess" Oil on panel. 32x40cm. Nicolaes Berchem was a Dutch landscape painter who mainly worked in the city of Haarlem. He was the son and disciple of Pieter Claesz. He lived in Italy from 1642 to 1645, until he returned to his native Holland, where he dedicated himself to painting sunny landscapes and pastoral scenes like the one we present, most of them were inspired by his trips to Rome and form his most representative work. .
