Bohey, avec d autres villages luxembourgeois tels que Bavigne, Liefrange, Berle, Sonlez et Doncols, se trouvait sur la route de cette avancee allemande. Des unites americaines, notamment le 357e regiment d infanterie de la 90e division d infanterie, furent deployees dans ces villages pour ralentir l offensive ennemie.
