BUREAU PLAT "A FLEURS", Louis XV, stamped E. MEUNIER (Etienne Meunier, maitre circa 1732), Paris circa 1760. Tulipwood, rosewood and various precious woods in veneer inlaid with flowers, leaves and frieze. Rectangular top lined with black, gold-stamped leather and edged in bronze on a frieze "in contour à l'arbalète". Same, but sham arrangement verso. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Requires some restoration. 128x63x78 cm.
