CASQUE PSEUDO-CORINTHIEN, BRONZE, ART ITALIQUE, CIRCA VE-IVE S. AV. J.-C.
A PSEUDO-CORINTHIAN BRONZE HELMET, CIRCA 5TH-4TH CENTURY B.C., with broad flat rear flange, the moulded eyebrows extending into a ridge around the crown, decorated with the delineation of the eyeholes and nose-guard, with confronting boars below, floral motifs behind the animals and a chevron band around the perimeter, all highlighted later in white, 17.8cm high, 21cm wide, 30cm deep
