Roger Baillon l'a donc sauvée, comme tant d'autres, et grâce à cette facture mentionnant l'immatriculation 6943 BF 75 que porte cette voiture, et avec l'aide de Jean-Paul Tissot, président du Club Delahaye, nous avons pu retrouver le numéro de châssis, 818018, malgré l'absence de plaque constructeur. Il s'agit d'une très rare version Chapron "grand luxe", qui présente un renflement d'ailes caractéristique et dont Jean-Paul Tissot dénombre huit exemplaires produits, sur un total de 41 coachs 235 carrossés par Chapron. Comme pour souligner ce niveau élevé, cette voiture est équipée d'un toit ouvrant et bénéficié de finitions particulières. On trouve dans le coffre diverses pièces comme une lame de pare-chocs avant et le filtre à air, et le tableau de bord comporte ses principaux instruments. On remarque à gauche du volant le petit "moutardier" de la boîte Cotal, et la sellerie est relativement bien conservée, avec une belle patine. Ce modèle d'une grande rareté constitue un beau projet de restauration. In the boot are various parts of the bumper, the front blade and the air filter, and the dashboard has its main instruments. On the left of the steering wheel one can see the little knob of the Cotal gearbox levers. The upholstery is relatively well preserved, with a beautiful patina. This model is of great rarity and is a very beautiful restoration project.
