Er ist in dem Standardwerk „Fotografie am Bauhaus“, hg. für das Bauhaus-Archiv von Jeannine Fiedler, Berlin 1990, im Unterkapitel „Experimente, Collagen und Montagen“ auf Seite 183, Abb.-Nr. 256 sowie im Ausstellungsverzeichnis auf Seite 318 unter der Abb.-Nr. 256 publiziert. Gertrud Arndt hat sich in diesem Portrait der Architektin Wera Meyer-Waldeck, die wie sie selbst am Bauhaus Dessau studierte, des Verfahrens der Negativkopie bedient, bei dem die Schwarzweiß-Werte im photographischen Abzug umgekehrt werden. Zudem drehte Arndt die Ansicht des Kopfes um 180°, so dass sich im vorliegenden Abzug der in einer liegenden Position aufgenommene Kopf herabzuneigen scheint. (Vgl. Op. cit. In this portrait of the architect and fellow Bauhaus student Wera Meyer-Waldeck, Gertrud Arndt utilised the negative copy technique, under which the black-white values of the photographic print are reversed. At the same time Arndt has rotated the view by 180 degrees, with the result that the head appears as that of a laying figure (See op. cit. (Berlin 1994), p. 12).
