Hampe de fanion de Voiture. Hampe de fanion en Acier inoxydable chrome, de magnifique facture et dune longueur de 24,5cm et dune largeur de 12cm. Par la qualite dexecution tout a fait remarquable, nous pouvons avancer que cette hampe etait destinee a un vehicule officiel de la flotte gouvernementale. Seul le chef de lEtat avait droit a arborer une hampe a francisque avec son fanion de voiture. Il pourrait etre plus que probable que notre hampe ait ete realisee pour etre utilisee avec le fanion de route du chef de lEtat qui etait en etamine, celui-ci disposait, en effet, dune hampe specifique pour son fanion de ville qui etait en soie brodee. Il est possible quune hampe en acier ait ete realisee pour le fanion dit de route. Lattestation dAndre Bardin, ancien inspecteur de Police indiquant que cette hampe provenait dun vehicule du Marechal Petain prend alors tout son sens. La francisque se trouve soigneusement fixee dans un coffret en bois avec linterieur recouvert de feutrine. Sur le couvercle se trouve une petite plaque en laiton incrustee mentionnant ETAT FANCAIS VICHY 1940-1944. On y joint la photocopie dun courrier dAndre Bardin demeurant a Vichy reconnait ceder un embleme de voiture, quil a lui meme recupere en 1944 alors quil occupait les fonctions dinspecteur de Police. Tres interessante piece historique. Vehicle pennant staff in chrome-plated stainless steel of exceptional quality, measuring 24.5 cm in length and 12 cm in width. Due to its remarkable craftsmanship, this staff was likely intended for an official government vehicle. Only the Chief of State had the right to display a francisque staff with his car pennant. It is highly probable that this staff was made to accompany the road pennant of the Chief of State, which was made of etamine fabric, while the city version used a silk-embroidered pennant. A steel version may have been specially created for the road pennant. A statement from Andre Bardin, a former police inspector, attests that the staff came from Marshal Petain’s vehicle. The francisque is carefully preserved in a wooden case with a felt-lined interior. A small brass plaque on the lid is engraved with the inscription ETAT FRANcAIS VICHY 1940–1944. Included is a photocopy of a letter by Andre Bardin, a resident of Vichy, confirming he personally retrieved the emblem in 1944 while serving as a police inspector. This is a very historically significant piece.
