IMPORTANTE PEINTURE A L’ENCRE ET COULEURS SUR SOIE FRAGMENT DU ROULEAU No 6 : VOYAGE D’INSPECTION DANS LE SUD DE L’EMPEREUR KANGXI, NANXUN TU, PAR WANG HUI (1632-1717) CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, EPOQUE KANGXI (1691-1697) La présente peinture est un fragment d’un rouleau de plus grande longueur (vraisemblablement le rouleau VI des douze rouleaux représentant le voyage d’inspection dans le Sud de l’Empereur Kangxi). Sur la gauche de la peinture, un village et une porte menant à l’embarcadère de Yin Shan Men (Yin shan men ma tou : port de la Porte de la Montagne d’Argent) décoré de fanions, au pied d’une colline montagneuse et plantée d’arbres, plus bas une rue du village et ses échoppes ouvertes devant lesquelles passent les habitants qui se dirigent vers un quai où sont encrés plusieurs bateaux. Au milieu,de nombreux bateaux voguent voiles déployées sur le fleuve Yangtze, tandis qu’une troupe de cavaliers et de nombreux personnages se groupent sur la berge du fleuve. Dans la partie droite, en bas, la colline du Mont Bei Gu(Beigu shan) et la tour du temple Gan Lu (Gan lu si tie ta : Tour de fer du temple Ganlu ou Temple de la Douce Rosée), d’autres bateaux ornés d’oriflammes naviguant ou encrés à proximité d’un ilot. Dimensions : 68 cm x 247,5 cm Provenance : Collection particulière française AN IMPORTANT SCROLL PAINTING, INK AND COLOUR ON SILK A FRAGMENT OF SCROLL No 6 : SOUTHERN INSPECTION TOUR OF KANGXI EMPEROR, NANXUN TU, BY WANG HUI (1632-1717) CHINA, QING DYNASTY, KANGXI PERIOD (1691-1697) The present painting is a fragment of a longer scroll (probably scroll number VI from the twelve scrolls relating the Southern Inspection Tour of Emperor Kangxi) On the left part of the painting, a village with its gate festooned leading to the pier of Yin Shan Men (Yin shan men ma tou :the dock of Yin Shan gate), below a mountainous landscape with trees. Lower in the sketch, another street in the middle of open shops in front of which inhabitants are passing to a pier where several boats are moored or anchored. In the middle of the painting, a number of boat are sailing on the Yangtze river, while a troop of horses and riders together with other travellers are grouped on the riverbank. Down, in the right part, the Mount BeiGu hill (Beigushan) and the tower of Gan Lu temple (Gan lu si tieta : iron tower of Ganlu temple or Temple of Sweet Dew), other numerous boats with banners are sailing around a small island.
