Sur l’avers se trouve le portrait du marechal de profil signe Cogne, le revers porte le tampon « Sevres 42 », diametre 12cm, ecrin en velours bleu et soie blanche rehaussee d’une francisque dore, fermoir fonctionnel mais coffret legerement deforme sur un cote. Ce type de medaillon fabrique par la Manufacture de Sevres etait laisse a la discretion du cabinet du Marechal, qui les offrait uniquement a de hautes personnalites. Medallion in Sevres porcelain. Presented in a blue velvet and white silk case adorned with a gilded francisque. The clasp is functional though the box is slightly deformed on one side. This type of medallion was produced by the Sevres porcelain works and distributed at the discretion of the Marshal’s cabinet, exclusively gifted to high-ranking individuals.
