Every possible improvement was tested on this car which explains the fitting of disc brakes, among other things. The 26 of April 1963, it was sold to Mr. Guido Moch who was a member of the development team at Daimler-Benz. Mr. Moch kept it for 5 years and sold the car to Dr. Eggenweiler on the 7th of June 1968. The engine (factory replacement) had been changed in 1971. The interior had been restored in 1986 (door trims, seats and carpets). Some work had to be made on the body and chrome-plated parts were renewed. A new radiator was fitted in 1988 and an important restoration was undertaken in 1990. It has clocked since only 18 577 km (11 600 miles). The body is finished in black with a black hardtop, black Rudge wheels with chrome center. It is fitted with beautiful period bucket seats clothed in black leather. The steering wheel is foldable to give easier access to the cockpit. The shift lever is shorter than the original one. The indicators control is on the steering wheel circle and the outer exhaust pipe ends with a fishtail. The car has also a beige lined black hood and a black canvas tonneau cover.
