Zwei große Lüsterkartuschen mit anhängenden Federblättern in Purpur, Eisenrot und Gelb um fein gemalte exotische / chinoise Halbfiguren (Frauen?). Unter dem Ausguss und seitlich des Henkels indianische Blütenranken. Auf dem Deckel zwei teetrinkende männliche Chinesen. Emailmarke Schwerter. Randvergoldung minimal berieben, Restaurierung am Deckelrand. H 12,3 cm. Meißen, das Porzellan vor 1723, der Dekor Johann Gregoerius Hoeroldt zugeschrieben, um 1724. I, Hamburg 1999, Nr. 32), danach Sammlung Said und Roswitha Marouf (bei Pietsch, Passion for Meissen, Stuttgart 2010, Nr. 21). Hoffmeister prägte die Bezeichnung "drittes Halbfigurenservice" (a.a.o. S. 62). Ein größeres Konvolut Teile des Services erstmals publiziert bei Pietsch, Johann Gregorius Hoeroldt 1696 - 1775, Dresden-Leipzig 1996, Nr. 61 - 79, damals noch datiert 1725. Ein Paar Koppchen und ein Paar Doppelhenkelbecher, jeweils mit Untertellern auch in der Sammlung Wark (Pietsch, Early Meissen Porcelain, London 2011, Nr. 112 - 115), jetzt datiert 1724. A Meissen porcelain milk jug from the Third Half Figure Service Pear-form jug with a rounded handle and small triangular spout. Decorated to each side with large purple lustre cartouches hung with coloured leaves in puce and iron red containing finely painted exotic figural scenes. With "indianische blumen" below the spout and beside the handle, and two Chinoiserie figures drinking tea to the lid. Enamelled crossed swords mark. Minor wear to the gilt edging. Restorations to the edge of the lid. H 12.3 cm. The porcelain before 1723, the decor attributed to Johann Gregoerius Hoeroldt, ca. 1724. Literature A further milk jug from this service formerly belonging to the Hoffmeister Collection (cat. vol. 1, Hamburg 1999, no. 32), then to the collection of Said and Roswitha Marouf (in: Pietsch, Passion for Meissen, Stuttgart 2010, no. 21).
