Artists such as Pablo Picasso, Francis Bacon and Fernand Léger influenced his work. However, Sadequin was keen to find a unique, non-conform handwriting. Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi (1930-1987) Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi was born in India in 1930. In 1950 he moved to Pakistan. He is considered one of the most famous painters and calligraphers of Pakistan. In the early 1960s, Sadequain moved to Paris, where he soon had established a foot in the French art circles. There he was able to record his first successes and was even compared with artists such as Picasso.
