Différents documents sont joints à la montre, une lettre d’Omega contenant une notice explicative sur le fonctionnement spécifique de la montre. Cette Ploprof possède également son carnet « Life book » spécifique à son numéro de prototype 4 100, ce carnet à pour but de d’enregistrer les plongées, plus d’une quarantaine sont enregistrées et annotées de commentaires. il s’agit de l’une des 5 Ploprof prototype ayant été fourni à l’équipe de Jacques Cousteau pour ses plongeurs de la Calypso. Cette montre a été livrée neuve à monsieur Christian Bonnici, plongeur officiel de l’équipe Cousteau dans les années 70. Il a utilisé cette montre au quotidien entre 1971 et 1972 sur la mer Méditerranée, le carnet atteste de l’ensemble de ces plongées. Notre plongeur est notamment visible avec sa ploproof au poignet dans l’épisode « Recco le pécheur de corail » tournée durant l’été 1971 où il suit un pécheur de corail dans ses explorations sous-marines. Par la suite la montre a été révisée par un horloger et le boitier a été changé de sens pour avoir la couronne à 6h, la montre est toujours restée en possession de la famille du plongeur jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Cette montre est une rare opportunité d’acquérir un mythe de l’exploration aquatique de l’équipe de Cousteau accompagné d’un ensemble de documents attestant de son authenticité et de son histoire.
