According to Porsche, it was first delivered to its American owner on 20 April, 1965. The Porsche is in original condition with a wonderful patina. Except for a new finish, executed many years ago, the 911 is untouched. The underbody is in good and unwelded condition. The car still has the original Cardan joint drive shaft. Engine and gearbox are matching numbers, the original Solex carburetors, the original air-filter housing and the mechanic Pierburg double fuel pump are also built in. The engine runs smoothly and is dry. The car's interior has a nice patina, seat coverings, wooden wheel, instruments, interior rooftop and carpets are originally preserved and unrestored. The Porsche comes from the estate of John “Otto“ Williamson, deceased in February 2013, who ran a Porsche garage in Venice, California for many years and who was known as an American “Porsche legend“. According to John Williamson, the Porsche was bought as a new car in 1965.
