SS-Oberführer Karl Herwig – a personal sword for SS commanders The nickel-plated blade with no manufacturer's mark. Nickel-silver knuckle-bow hilt, the black wooden grip with silver wire winding and an inlaid rune emblem. The silver-plated, screw-on cap engraved with Kaun and Haglaz runes representing the owner's monogram "H K" and seal. Black lacquered scabbard with stamped chape and screw-mounted locket. The hilt and locket with an embossed, octagonal Gahr emblem. Black leather hanger with SS/RZM stamp. Length 97.5 cm. Petschaft. Schwarz lackierte Scheide mit gepresstem Ortblech und verschraubtem Mundblech. Gefäß und Mundblech mit punziertem Gahr-Oktagonlogo. Schwarzer Lederhänger mit SS/RZM-Stempelung.
