Serigraphy is used for the works on offer. This technique dates back to the 11th century and was created in China using silk as a stencil. It offers the possibility of a perfect flat colour and a density controlled by the more or less fine screen. This silk has been replaced by synthetic fibres (acetates) which are stronger and more regular. The format of the edition, the quality of the support, the quality of the drawing and the inks used will make a "multiple-art" capable of moving a large number of amateurs and of attributing it to themselves. It was between 1972 and 1978 that I was able to experience this communion of artist and re-creator with Wilfredo Arcay and his team, with their exacting standards and the demanding techniques they mastered, right up to the completion of a "Multiple" work authenticated by the signature of its creator. The re-creation workshop created by Wilfredo Arcay is perpetuated by his son Jérôme, who applies his technique even more closely to the artists of our time, involving them directly in the creation of their works through the use of silkscreen printing and becoming a veritable heart of creation. The eight specially selected works on offer come from the Atelier Arcay from 1973 to 1979".
