Provenance / Herkomst Collection privée / Privécollectie It was during one of Ado Chale's 'gemological' trips to Arizona, originally to look for stones, that he came across these examples of Petrified Sequoia Wood dating back several million years, which form the central elements of the tables in this series. Ours is particularly rare because the top is thicker than the others, indicating that the slice of wood used was the end of the fossilised trunk. According to the designer's own family, it is one of the most beautiful specimens ever made by Ado Chale, both in terms of the quality of the petrified wood and the way it is assembled into a table.
