A Louis XV ormolu-mounted amaranth and tulipwood parquetry commode by Denis Louis Pelletier, mid-18th century Of bombé form, the shaped white-veined grey marble moulded top above two drawers sans traverse inlaid with cube parquetry within an encadrement 'à la Grecque', with handles and escutcheons above an apron mount, the hipped angles with scrolling foliate chutes above pierced sabots, stamped 'DL PELLETIER', 120cm wide x 60cm deep x 89cm high, (47in wide x 23 1/2in deep x 35in high) Denis Louis Pelletier, maître ébéniste in 1760.
