107. Tripod dish or circular silver salver London, 1744
attributed to John Swift
A partially erased and struck maker's mark, attributed to John Swift. Another silversmith's mark, 'RH', attributed to Robert Hill (1740)
With scalloped contours accentuated by rocaille clasps, resting on three pad feet. The center finely chased with a coat of arms; feet are probably a later addition, height 4.5cm, diameter 44cm, weight 1,970gms.
