Meissen porcelain rectangular tea caddy, circa 1735 A Meissen rectangular tea canister and a matched cover, circa 1735 Painted with a continuous chinoiserie scene depicting figures seated at a table beneath a palm tree on one side, and another being carried in a sedan chair, flanked by flowers and with insects in flight overhead, below a gilt border with trellis panels and scrollwork, enclosing on the top chrysanthemums reserved on a trelis ground, the cover with gilt scrollwork filled with Boettger lustre and a gilt border, 10.5cm high, crossed swords mark in blue, gilt numerals 13.
